In 1997 graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Ternopil State Pedagogical Institute, speciality: Ukrainian language and literature. In 1998-2001 was getting postgraduate education at the Department of Ukrainian and General Linguistics of Ternopil State Pedagogical Institute.

Work Experience

Since September 2002 works in I.Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University. First as instructor of Department of Philosophy and Ukrainian Studies, after – senior instructor of Department of Foreign Languages and Social Sciences. Since 2007 – associate professor of Department of Informatics, Foreign Languages and Social Sciences. Since September 2015 – head of Department of Ukrainian Language.

Scientific Activity

July, 5, 2002 – defended candidate thesis “The formation and development of models of oykonims of Right Bank Ukraine with Christian names in basis” on speciality 10.02.01 – Ukrainian language.

Scientific Interests

Onomastics, toponymy, linguodidactics (teaching methology of Ukrainian language as foreign), language culture.

Scientific publications

Has got 34 publications, among them 23 scientific and 11 training and methodological.

After graduating with honors from Philology Faculty of Ternopil State Pedagogical Institute since August 1994 worked in Ternopil Medical University as assistant, instructor, senior instructor, associate professor. Teaches such subjects as “Professional Ukrainian Language” and “Ukrainian Language as Foreign”.

Candidate thesis “Language stereotypes in doctors communication” on speciality Ukrainian language executed in Kyiv at the Department of Stylistics and Language Culture of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, defended it in 2003 in Specialized Academic Council in Oleksandr Potebnya Institute of Linguistics NAS of Ukraine. The scientific novelty of the thesis consists in the fact that the first time in modern Ukrainian linguistics was studies functioning of language stereotypes in professional doctors communication, made linguistic and cultural analysis of fixed language stereotypes, developed the model of medical professional language and doctors communications.

Scientific interests: language culture, stylistics, communicative linguistics, sociolinguistics, linguodidactics, Ukrainian studies.

Author of 100 publications, among them 28 scientific, 22 training and methodological, 18 of them were published in professional editions. Author of 1 manual.

Took part in many international and Ukrainian scientific conferences, that took place in Ternopil, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv.

VALENTYNA IVANIVNA ZEVAKO

Graduated the Philological Faculty of Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv.

Got Postgraduate Education at the Department of Russian-Slavic linguistics of Voronezh State University. In 1993 defended candidate thesis “The phonetic system of dialect that displays contacting of the East Slavic languages” on speciality 10.02.01 – Russian language, 10.02.02 – Ukrainian language.

In 2006 passed recertification on speciality 10.02.01 – Ukrainian language in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Author over 60 scientific and methodological publications.

Scientific interests: comparative linguistics, history of language, dialectology.

IHOR DMYTROVYCH DRACH

Since September 2009 works in I.Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University. First as instructor of Department of Social Sciences and Foreign Languages, after that – of Department of Ukrainian Studies. Since 2015 – associate professor of Department of Ukrainian Language. Since September 2015 – vice-dean of Medical Faculty.

In November 2013 defended candidate thesis on speciality 10.01.06 – theory of literature and got title PhD.
